This magical celebration was the perfect way to bring some sparkle to a 2 year old's birthday. With themed treats, favors and decorations this Cinderella inspired party is sure to be a hit with any little princess!
We incorporated the classic Disney fairytale into each piece of decoration and even the food. It was fun to use both pinks and blues in the decorations! I'll share a trick to making the party favor gender neutral too.

Cinderella Themed Food
There are a lot of cute ways to fit food to this theme. We had pinwheel carraige wheels, pumpkins made from clementines with a sour straw stem, wands made from pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate plus a blueberry and watermelon star version, all with fun and magical names. The favor cups were perfect to hold veggies and hummus too.
We used my favorite Target plates as chargers, these carriage plates, flatware and pink scalloped napkins. How cute are the food tents used as food labels?! For drinks we used plastic jar cups and added pink paper straws with pink bow ribbons.
Cinderella Birthday Cake
For the party cake we ordered one from OKC Sweets, and it was amazing! The floral rosettes looked so pretty! This cake topper was a sweet nod to the Disney movie and I found it on Etsy. I have this cake stand in a few colors and they're so versatile.
Bippity Boppity Party Decorations
The decor for this party was the sweetest! We made the balloon arch using a kit from Bashify, it came in a 10-ft size. Check out this tutorial if you've never built a garland, and this one if you're looking for tips and tricks to hang one! If you're going to make your own balloon garland I highly recommend picking up one of these balloon pumps.
I love a good balloon mosaic, this one was the shape of a carriage and perfect for the party. This template includes instructions along with a few variations of sizes available. This was the 4ft size and Christina filled it with pink and white balloons. Here's a tutorial on how to make a mosaic, I've done a barn, number 3 and a windmill for other themed parties too! The arched backdrop is a smaller version of the viral one from Hobby Lobby, these are easy to paint to match any decor scheme and work as a nice backdrop. Bonus that this size does go on sale periodically!
The garland was from Etsy and such a sweet touch to the mantle.
For the food table we used a tablecloth with a dusty blue runner. We added a few bows to the table too! The favor boxes were the perfect amount of shimmer for Cinderella's castle, they work great for favors but I like to use them for veggies! I've done this with car boxes and golf-themed ones too, it's nice to be able to add a cup a veggies and a little thing of hummus in it as a healthier snack.
We also used flowers from Trader Joe's and put them in sweet bud vases. I keep these for various events and they add a nice touch to any party!
Favors and Activities
This may have been my favorite part of the party. For the favors we used classic little golden books, added a wand and tied with a ribbon. They were so sweet I had to gush about them in their own post here!
There was a bounce house in the backyard and the kiddos had so much fun playing after having a few sweet treats. It's nice to be able to send everyone outside so you can start clean up and kiddos can burn off some energy.
Tips for Throwing a Cinderella Birthday Party
- Simple is perfect! Pick a few things you really want to include and focus on those.
- I have a stash of these 50 cent plates from Target in blue and pink. It's easy to pull them out for any party/event and nice because you can wash and reuse them. They work great as chargers. I've collected nicer plates from thrift stores in white that we use for more formal events.
- Borrow what you can!
- Think outside the box. Use boxes for food instead of favors, the bows were actually hair clips, and
I hope this helps you plan your own magical celebration! Let us know of any questions in the comments!
