When planning a shower or birthday party there are so many fun ideas out there! For this shower we wanted to incorporate vintage touches with wooden toy elements, more specifically wooden planes! With that in mind I decided to add an accent balloon cloud to the decor planning.
Originally we planned to hang these from the ceiling with little planes coming out of the clouds but decided to use it as an attachment to the favor arch. It looked so sweet and was the perfect addition floating at the top!

Supplies
- White balloons, I used (1) 18-inch balloon, (6-8) 11-inch balloons and (12) 5-inch balloons
- electric balloon pump
- skinny balloons (like you use for making balloon animals)
- Size 19 rubberbands

Prepping the Balloons
- Start by determining what size of a cloud you want and then group and blow up your balloons. Blow them up 2 at a time using your electric balloon pump and tie together.
- Create 2 clusters of balloons using your 11-inch balloons and use one cluster incorporating 11-inch and an 18-inch balloon.
- Blow up your mini balloons and similarly create clusters of 4 balloons.

Assembling the Balloon Cloud
- Using your first cluster, tie a long/skinny balloon to one of the balloon knots. Repeat and tie your balloon clusters together.
- Take a rubberband and twist it around your mini balloons. Stretch the rubberband around the base cluster (larger balloon sizes) and twist to achieve desired look.

Hanging the Balloon Cloud
- When you're ready to hang your balloon cloud, I recommend using a damage free command strip, along with a piece of painters tape. This does vary a bit depending on what type of surface you're putting it on, but as a general rule of thumb it works well!
- Tie a skinny balloon to the command strip, then attach that balloon to the skinny balloon holding together your clusters.

We used this as a part of a baby shower backdrop.
