I recently helped host a baby shower for a friend of mine who happens to love everything fall. So the stars were aligned for a fall themed baby shower! We wanted to lean more into the florals of the season and used colors and food to speak to fall. Plus I cranked the AC down because it was around 93 degrees outside.
My favorite touch might have been the favor flower ball. If you want to make your own arch and display I have a full tutorial! It was the perfect decoration for the party and doubled as an activity for people. Whether you’re a host looking for inspiration or a guest eager to contribute, here’s how I created a fall-themed baby shower that leaned into florals and made for a sweet autumn celebration.

Focal Point
Decorating for a baby shower is so much fun! For our colors we wanted to use a dusty pink, burnt orange, yellows and whites. I always like to have a clear focal point for the mama to be, and using my arch backdrop from Hobby Lobby was perfect with flowers added to it! Last time I used it was for my son's golf party when it was a pro shop- this thing really is so versatile! I also used a baby carriage I found on marketplace and filled it with white flowers and a big ceramic pumpkin.
Table Settings
For the tables we used my go to plastic pink plates as charges, a hexagon shaped dessert plate and layered with a terracotta napkin and this adorable yarn pumpkin. I tied a pink bow around the pumpkin stem for a contrasting texture and sweet and girly touch. We used my silver forks to balance out the plastic plates. We had mason jars I borrowed from a sweet friend with kraft paper straws already set out too.
Food and Dessert
The shower was in the early afternoon so wanted to provide plenty of treats but not a full meal. We had a fun caramel apple bar set up, along with bundtennis and danishes. We also had a charcuterie station over by the flower bar to help spread guests out a bit.
Latte Bar
For drinks we had water at each place setting, but also created a Pumpkin Spice Latte station! I made these custom coffee sleeves with my Cricut. We had caramel, chocolate, and pumpkin syrups along with cold foam for those wanting iced coffees. My sweet friend Amber played barista and made guests drinks throughout the shower! These to go cups are great to have on hand whether or not you're hosting a large group!
Baby Shower Decor
For the decorations we really wanted to make it girly. I've seen the trend where people bring a book instead of a card, but for this shower we wanted to make sure that our friend's baby girl had a fully stocked closet seeing as she has two bigger brothers! So on our invitation we asked everyone to bring a onesie or outfit instead of a card! It was a fun way to spoil baby girl and made a cute display too. I borrowed the pretend play closet from my friend!
For the tables we had bud vases, candlesticks and velvet pumpkins in fall tones spread out across each table. This pink table runner was perfect and tied in the texture of the napkins. It was so fun having a lot of different textures in the mix! The beaded garlands mixed perfectly with the velvet ribbons and amber jars too.
Game
One of the hosts made maybe the best shower game I've ever seen! Miranda made a giant jeopardy board filled with generic baby trivia along with some specific questions based on the mama to be. It was a fun way to get people talking and comfortable during the event. I'll be using this for any shower I plan going forward it was really fun! For prizes we used pumpkin syrup to tie into our coffee bar set up.
We had a balloon arch over by the latte station, we really tried to spread out the decor for the most impact. Each candle or vase had a velvet pink ribbon tied around it for a little extra statement.
We also used flowers from Trader Joe's and put them in these sweet bud vases. I keep these for various events and they add a nice touch to any party!
Favors
I think maybe the biggest highlight of the party was the favor. I made a flower bar from a large piece of insulation foam board and IKEA trash buckets. Each bucket was filled with flowers from Trader Joe's! It was a fun and special way to send something sweet home with each guest. It doubled as a large feature wall too which was a bonus!
