Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

There are so many fun things you can do with balloons, I love that they've had made a massive comeback and how often you see them at parties and events. Balloons are a great way to make a visual impact whether you're making an arch or a mosaic. We've shared our professional tips for making a balloon arch as well as how to hang it, and this post will walk through step by step how to make a balloon flower to accent your garland or just to use in your decor!

When making a balloon daisy you'll need 5-inch balloons and we still recommend using an electric pump. We used this arch for Easter and the flowers added a fun spring touch! We've made balloon clouds too- they really can be incorporated into any theme or party.

  • 1 5-inch balloon to be the center of your flower
  • electric pump (not necessary but recommended)
Two sets of balloons tied together.

Directions

  • Start by inflating two of your 5-inch petal balloons and tie together.
  • Inflate a third balloon and tie it into the pair of balloons, creating a 3-balloon grouping.

  • Create another pairing, and then one final group with the center petal and the sixth petal. So you'll have one group of 3 balloons, one pair that's the same color or that you're using as petals, and one pair that includes your center and a back piece.

  • Start twisting your balloons together, creating a cluster. Twist one of the pairs of balloons with the center piece (that's a different color). Then twist the last pair around the center piece, creating your flower shape.
  • From the back you'll see the same color as the rest of the petals.
  • Adjust the center part of the flower so it's centered.
