How to Make the Curler Beanie
This is the most crafty/DIY part of the whole outfit, but don't worry- it's so easy! Wrap the yarn around each curler, just like you would wrap hair, and keep wrapping the yarn until the curler is completely covered. Close the curler clip and cut the yarn end. Repeat until all of the curlers are finished. The curler pack I purchased had 12 pieces and I used all of them.
Once all of the curlers are ready, use the hot glue gun to glue them to the beanie. The beanie I used came with little ears on it (why is it that all baby beanies are like this?!). I cut the ears off of but there may be a way to strategically place the curlers to cover them up if needed. I placed 6 curlers horizontally through the very middle of the beanie, and then placed 3 curlers vertically on either side of the middle row. See photo below for the pattern.
Putting the simple DIY old lady costume together!
This is the fun part! Dress baby in the sweater and dress, glasses and lanyard. Put the beanie on top of her head and take some cute pics! I used our nursery rocking chair for photos and they turned out adorable. Please share how your costume turns out if you choose to make it in the comments below.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
