If you're looking for a Valentine's day breakfast to go with these drinks, check out our heart shaped pink waffles post! We also have a pink hot chocolate option for those of you who don't drink coffee! Or if iced coffee is more your style try our Iced Honey Oat Milk Latte or Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso.
Supplies
- Nespresso (I have the Virtuo Next)
- Nespresso Pods- your choice of flavor
- Floral Syrup (I used lavender and Rose)
- Milk of your choice
- Beetroot Powder
- Dried Florals- make sure they are food grade, like these!
I have a Nespresso so I used that to make these Valentine's Day coffee drinks, but if you do not have one, all you need is an espresso machine and a milk frothing tool. If you're on the fence about an espresso machine, you can make iced shaken espressos too so it's definitely worth it!
This was my first time making a floral flavored drink. My only advice is to start with less and add more to taste. I do not like super sweet coffee either and the syrups are very sweet, so keep that in mind!
The beetroot powder makes the prettiest rosey pink milk! Disclaimer: it does have a distinct taste! Use sparingly to tint the milk if you don't want it to affect the taste of the drink. I used over a tablespoon in my milk and it was WAY too much!
Enjoy!!
xoxo,
Melanie
