Easy Easter Makeup Look

Happy Spring everyone! Alongside spring cleaning this year, I'm also cleaning out my old beauty products. I don't wear makeup very often and usually only wear it for special events or holidays- like Easter! I've been trying out some clean beauty brands that I LOVE, and so today I'm going to share with you my easy Easter makeup look! If you're strapped for extra time in the morning (who isn't, right?) you will love how quick this is! Over the past few years I've been swapping out traditional makeup for clean products and I am excited to share some of my favorites with you today too!

Steps to Prep Skin

The first thing I do before applying anything to my face is use cleanser. My current favorite is the Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser. Full disclosure, it's pricey BUT lasts a long time and my face loves it! Before getting to the Easter makeup, I ALWAYS apply Vitamin C Serum. Right now I'm trying out this Josh Rosebrook C Bright Complex! It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave a sticky residue like some Vitamin C serums do. I'm really liking it! Another clean Vitamin C serum that I love is this Evolv C Serum! It smells amazing, like a combo of fruits and flowers! mmm..

The second thing I apply before makeup is an eye cream. This Tata Harper Restorative Anti-aging Eye Cream is also quite pricey (like all of their products), but I have become a huge fan of this brand. They only use clean ingredients and I'm so happy with all of my Tata products. I've found that a simple Vitamin C serum and eye cream are all I need in the mornings these days!

Easter Makeup Products

My skin can look pretty uneven and blotchy at times, so I definitely need something to smooth it out. This Ilia Super Skin Tint is not a foundation, but more of a tinted sunscreen/serum that acts like a softening/blurring layer over the skin. The shade I have is Baikal ST9.5. I only use a small amount as I have quite oily skin but I love that it really brightens and lifts my complexion! This stuff is like liquid gold in my opinion, I am so happy I purchased this! I usually dispense it into my hand and then use my fingers to blend it into my skin in upward circular motions.

If this serum did not have SPF in it, I would wear SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen before any makeup- I could write a whole post on how I love this stuff! It goes on velvety like a nice primer! PSA: always wear SPF!

Next step is blush! I have had a love hate relationship with blush my entire life. I mean, it seems a little extra sometimes, right? But I have to say, this Ilia Color Haze in Shade Waking Up just adds such a sweet fresh faced glow to my Easter makeup look! Like the tinted serum, I squeeze a small amount onto my fingers and then blend it with my fingertips.

I finish this quick Easter makeup look with Kosas liquid eye shadow in color Simmer. Overall I really like this liquid eye shadow but I will say that it requires building layers if for the shadow to pop. Otherwise, it's just a nice barely there shimmer on my eyelid. As far as a clean beauty product is concerned, I love how easy it is to apply and spread with my fingers! I think once I've finished this one I will shop for a better formula that's more pigmented. Lastly, I put Thrive Causemetics mascara on! I do like this mascara but find it to be a little sticky!

I hope you enjoyed my quick Easter makeup look! Honestly this is perfect for anyone who likes a fresh, natural look that only takes a few minutes to apply! Here's my before and after photo!

Melanie
