Mini Felt Christmas Trees

A cute and easy decor project using basic craft supplies.
Yield: 1 tree
Cost: $2.50

Equipment

  • Pair of scissors
  • wire cutters
  • sewing pins
  • hot glue gun+glue

Materials

  • 1 piece computer paper for pattern
  • as needed premium felt in color of trees
  • 1 pack wooden dowels
  • as needed piece wooden knobs

Instructions

  • Cut out your tree pattern using standard computer paper (you may need to repeat this step later)
  • Pin your tree pattern to the edge of the felt
  • Cut out the tree pattern and repeat 6x
  • Using hot glue gun, glue the edges of 2 felt trees together
  • Continue to glue 2 edges together until all 6 trees are glued together
  • Cut your wooden dowel to your desired length using wire cutters or scissors (note: if you are using the small wooden knobs as the base you cannot cut your dowels too tall or they will not stand up, the weight of the felt will knock them over)
  • Place one side of the wooden dowel into the center of the glued together felt trees
  • In the small opening where the wooden dowel meets the top of the trees, place a small amount of hot glue and hold until dry
  • Repeat at the point that the wooden dowel meets the bottom of the trees it
  • Place a small amount of hot glue in the hole of the wooden knob
  • Place the bottom end of the wooden dowel into the hole and hold until dry
